At Velan Cattle Farm, we raise grass-fed cattle and grazing livestock, including goats and other ruminants, using regenerative farming principles that restore land, respect animals, and produce high-quality, responsibly raised meat. Operating in full compliance with California state regulations and USDA food safety standards, our livestock program balances animal welfare, environmental stewardship, and commercial viability.

Regenerative & Sustainability Practices
Grazing livestock are essential partners in land restoration. At Velan Cattle Farm, our regenerative practices include
- Rotational and managed grazing using cattle and goats to improve soil structure, increase organic matter, control invasive vegetation, and prevent overgrazing
- Multi-species grazing systems, where goats complement cattle by browsing shrubs and weeds, enhancing pasture diversity and land balance
- Manure composting and nutrient recycling to build fertile, biologically active soils across the farm
- Water-efficient pasture systems, including gravity-fed and solar-assisted watering where applicable
- Native and climate-adapted grass and forage restoration to support biodiversity, pollinators, and drought resilience
What We Offer
Responsibly raised goats and other grazing livestock contributing to diversified, regenerative protein production and land stewardship.
Goat milk and possibly A2 variety cow’s milk can be commercially produced for the supply to local families & restaurants throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
Scheduled visits are welcomed to provide transparency into our regenerative grazing practices, animal care standards, and land management systems.
